Amy 3. - OH NO!!!

The worst thing happened to my sampler!!! I was frogging with a seam ripper (I stitched quiet alot and I was one stitch off) and literally ripped a slit in my linen almost an inch long...... I almost got sick to my stomach! I just stared at it for about 5 minutes, then I got up and walked around.....my head was in disbelief!!! The rip is mostly where there will be stitching. I went to help blog for suggestions and one suggestion that sounded logical was to weave threads where the rip is. I will try this, when I think I can look at it without feeling desperation......................................... I will never use a seam ripper again!!!

Hi all,
this is a first for me! Blogging and SAL. I am going to order my linen and floss this weekend, so hopefully, I will be able to start the sampler in a couple of weeks. I need to decide which direction I am going as far as color and linen are concerned. I will send a picture when it all comes in!

I have been stitching all my life---55 years old, so probably about 47 years now. I started cross-stitching in the early eightys, raised my girls, then started back a few years ago... boy, has it changed! I love all the new fabrics and threads. I just wish I lived close to a stitching shop. I do most all of my ordering on line.

Ez a legelső alkalom az életemben - blogolni és SAL-ozni.
Megrendelem az anyagot és a fonalakat a hétvégén, és nagyo remélem, hogy mielőbb el tudom kezdeni én is a samplert. Amint tudok, mutatok fotót is.

Egész életemben hímeztem, most vagyok 55 éves, tulajdonképpen 47 éve hímzek.
Majdnem 8 évesen kezdtem xszemezni. Mindenféle anyagot és fonalat szeretek,
bárcsak egy kézimunkabolt közelében élhetnék! De mivel nem így van, mindig mindent rendelnem kell.
